Interaction of fire detection and firefighting

A sampling smoke detection system, as described in Chapter 10 of the FSS Code, is essential for container ships and other cargo ships. safetec has been offering such systems since 1995. In a relatively short time, the concept we have chosen has become the world standard: CO2 discharge lines are used to sample the air in the cargo holds. Each cargo hold has at least one individual smoke detector in our SDS-72 smoke detection system or the SDS-72 extension panel. This automatically localizes a smoke alarm. Find out more about SDS-72.

The E-CO2 system as a supplement to the SDS

Our CO2 control system makes it possible to dispense with a lot of control piping by using electric motor drives for the section valves (directional valves). It is easily possible to centralize the installation in the CO2 room or to place the section valves close to the areas to be protected, for example in the aisle areas. All electrical lines and limit switches are monitored. Find out more about E-CO2 here.
