Introduction to E-CO2

E-CO2 stands for a ran­ge of elec­tri­cal con­trol sys­tems from safe­tec for the release of CO2. In this con­text, ‘elec­tri­cal’ means that tra­di­tio­nal pres­su­re pipes or pull wires are repla­ced by elec­tri­cal­ly moni­to­red lines. This sim­pli­fies instal­la­ti­on con­sider­a­b­ly and increa­ses safe­ty at the same time. The assign­ment of cylin­der groups to the various pro­tec­ted are­as is pre-pro­grammed and does not requi­re manu­al selection. 

Alarm devices are acti­va­ted as soon as a sec­tion val­ve is moved out of the “clo­sed” posi­ti­on. Simp­le and user-fri­end­ly elec­tri­cal release panels are available for ope­ra­ti­on. The sys­tem is ope­ra­ted strict­ly in accordance with the FSS Code Chap­ter 5 to pre­vent fal­se acti­va­tions due to mul­ti­ple safe­ty mea­su­res. The release delay (mini­mum 20 seconds) can be con­fi­gu­red indi­vi­du­al­ly for each pro­tec­ted area.
